SOLD (oil on canvas) Hold your breath and explore Tide-pools from the inside out. Each pool a unique ecosystem of its own. The boundaries between what is alive and what isn’t blur yet conceptualize its existence. If you pause to observe I believe these qualities can be found all around us.
(oil on canvas) A mother with gill plates prepares her daughters for a dive to the abyss.
(oil on canvas) The Strata of Life...Goals, dreams, and ambitions, over decades of tenacious pressure, become stratified. Each stratum like the rings of a tree a foundation built of relic shaping the now. Over come obstacles! Dodge apathy and take a deep breath before crawling through the ambiguous smoke. From here there is a most beautiful view. Now it’s time to return to the sea, to the abyss of conception.

16X24 (oil on canvas) I based this painting off the scene of Roman Goddess Venus rising from the sea (Venus Anadyomene). This scene has been depicted by many painters in the past but possibly best recognized by 15 cen. Italian painter Sandro Botticelli and Late 18 cen. painter William Bouguereau’s “Birth of Venus”. Venus is the Roman equivalent of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. These experiences and values we innately strive to seek as human beings.
