由比ヶ浜の雪 28x35 (oil on canvas) This was my closest beach to my home, about 45 minutes south of Yokohama in the historical town of Kamakura. This was also the first time I had seen snow on the sand. I was captivated by the snowy foreground and colorful windsurfers in the background.

海の温泉 28x35 (oil on canvas) This was the only Onsen I experienced that was directly on the beach. Here a lone man stares off to the distant Izu Peninsula.

大島 35x28 (oil on canvas) I loved the way Oshima was floating above the horizon and the shipping lane of tankers.

鳥の海 9.5x13 (oil on canvas) Some of my favorite compositions are of "Birds at Sea".

綱島 13x9.5 (oil on canvas) This was painted in my small town of Tsunashima. This view is over looking the Tsurumi River where I would often take relaxing walks.

なずかしい 9.5x13 (oil on canvas) Nazukashii means to reminisce. Shonan, Japan.

菊名の晴れ 9.5x13 (oil on canvas) I painted this from my balcony in Kikuna. These apartments almost acted like a sundial for me. I would use the light reflected off them to tell what time it was.

光お閉める 9.5x13 (oil on canvas) Every evening my room was lit by an orange glow emitted from my neighbor's small apartment. She would quickly peak through her blinds before turning off the light.
